It is new dawn and a new Rotatry year waits to unfold with new horizons and new hopes. New vistas to reach for a new beginning be made. The future of Rotary beckons us.

Belur is just not one of the many clubs of District 3291 - it is a temple for me. It brings comfort to my soul and I am so proud today having been chosen by all of you to take over the mantle of leadership. Thank you once again my dear fellow members.

I have observed outgoing President Rtn. Shankar Ramalingam and his entire team working so hard and meticulously to enhance the stature and glory for our Club. I could imagine how much effort it would take to keep pace with his achievements

I, however, feel confident that a little helping hand from all off you will enable me to sail through the year with new vistas, explore new horizons and higher benchmarks for our Club. I know that all members who have so kindly given me this privileged position would always be ready to extended their hands.

RI Theme for the year is "The Future of Rotary is in your hands" and we would endeavour to honour it in true sense. We would endeavour to eliminate stagnation in membership, be pro active in The Rotary Foundation, emphasise in the THRUST areas of the year enunciated by RI President John Kenny and DG Utpal Majumdar like Health, Hunger, Water, Literacy, continue relishing our SET MENU and venture some new items of La Carte from all avenues of services.

Friends today is the day to swear and from now onwards to put our all throughts into action to take the reputation and glorious tradition of our Club to soarng height.
