FOUR WAY TEST :

Rotary Club of Belur has instituted Four Way Test Award at District Level. Eminent Persons who have professed principles laid down in Four Way Test in their vocation at National Level are short listed and recipient of such Award is finalised after due deliberations.
Outstanding Personalities like Kiran Bedi, T. N. Seshan, Dr. V Kurien, Dr. Ramanand Sagar, Maneka Gandhi, N R Narayana Murthy, Pandit Birju Maharaj and Dr. Shashi Tharoor have been bestowed Four Way Test Award in earlier years. This is a prestigious Project of Rotary Club of Belur and has received wide recognition. It is proposed to honour one more such personality during the year.
Further, this year we propose to form a jury of 3/4 eminent people and frame a criterion for them to select a suitable awardee for the award.
- To print 4 way Test posters /calenders/cards for distribution through members .
- To insist to all members to display the 4 Way Test frame at their work place.
- To highlight the importance of Four Way Test principles by installing at least 4 plaques/hoardings at appropriate public places like Bus-stand, Garden and Selected Schools, Railway Stations etc.
Vocational Training, Vocational Training for Special Needs, Career Development and Guidance, Computer Literacy and Entrepreneurship Development :
- To continue running the activities of Bal Vikash Kendra for physically & mentally challenged students and to organize sports, cultural activities and picnic for them.
- To inculcate in Schools, colleges and other educational Institutions the importance of different Vocations.
- To hold Seminar by inviting reputed speakers to highlight the importance of different Vocations.
- To open Training Centre at Uluberia /Kalaberia where Training facilities in Tailoring, Computer Operation etc.will be installed.
- To organise technical training by selecting appropriate candidates at RCCs and deputing them for short training courses.
- To organize Career Guidance Programs for students of Class X and XII at our RCC's .
- To involve more women in Vocational training.
- To organize Vocational service month in October.
- To organize an interactive session of members childern with similar age group childern of the RCC's
